My name is Yukari Peerless and I was born and raised in Japan. I am from a small town called Sasebo, Nagasaki and I came to Canada in 1998.
I am a writer, blogger, translator and social media enthusiast. I am the owner of Lucid Communication, a consulting firm in Victoria, B.C.
Our services include ESL support, wedding planning, translation, and vacation rental/real estate consulting for, but not limited to, Japanese clients.

I feel passionate about engaging with people and adding the personal touch.
Interestingly enough, my name Yukari means “connection” or “relationship” in old Japanese.

I am also a co-host of an online show focusing on engagement: “Getting Engaged – Online, In Life, and At Work”

I am very active on social media platforms and have worked with companies such as Disney, Ogilvy & Mather, Dove and Post on their social media activation as one of Canada’s most influential bloggers. I have also contributed to numerous magazines and newspapers in Japan, having been mentioned in various books as one of the key Japanese bloggers in North America.
